Well after 50 days in Italy we broke down and went out for Mexican food. Tonight we did a little bit of Christmas shopping, a little grocery shopping, and a little bit of gazing as we found ourselves in a brightly lit Italian mall. After all of this we decided to go have drinks at our new favorite late afternoon spot Caffe Magi (post coming soon!) in Citta di Castello. We then headed down to Don Pedro Cocina Messicana and had a grand time. We started with chips and salsa and potato skins and of course Tecate. Then we had a burrito and a fresh roll…all lovely and all a little bit Mexican and a little bit Italian. We finished with a Dolce Misti, and then we were a free round of the house tequila. Mine came with an Orange covered in sugar on fire. The food was good, the atmosphere funny and our waitress was absolutely lovey. Molto Buono! Grazie, Gracias, thanks Don Pedro we had a lovely time!

Yum. Mexican Italian. With a flaming, frosted orange, no less.
ReplyDeleteBut that last picture has me stumped--like one of those children's book puzzles that you have to find what it is. What IS it?
