It’s beginning to look a lot like Natale

Well Natale (Christmas) is less than a month away and all around the country side, city side, and San Martino 44 the decorations are bright and shiny.  I’m a lot like Mrs. Tara Aperule in my love of glam-in it up for the holidays; nothing beats some glitter, beads, and lights.
Here’s how we do it in Italia.  First, hope no one cuts the broken branch outside and that it doesn’t brown before it’s time to decorate. Next comb the grounds for broken bricks, great for painting, stacking, etc. Third, wait patiently for husband to finish blogging to go out and explore Umbertide for a sweet little Christmas tree, beads, bobbles, and lights.  Finally come home start a fire and arrange until just right!  Merry Christmas-Buon Natale to All!

  1. Ooh--I love your hearth! Way better than Martha Stewart. Where did you find the tiny snowy trees?

  3. Love love LOVE IT! So country Italian in a very sophisticated way. We miss your touch here - no holiday auction or the least bit of holiday cheer............

  4. The wreath is the best--home-made always is. But the new three-xmas-tree brick is good, too (maybe a pic of that is needed?).
