Giorno routine

The Girono Routine

So we have tried to get in a little morning routine and so far this is how it goes:
1. The dogs wakeup, Natalie takes them out to the yard to do their business. A.J. lays in bed for a few more minutes (pay back for ALL the times he did this in the States.)
2. A.J. makes their breakfast
3. We take them on a walk around the grounds.
4. We eat a small bowl of cereal.
5. We go on our morning walk.  Seems easy enough, right?  Well we live up a hill 2 km or 1.2 miles up a fairly steep hill. Some mornings we walk to the bottom, which is lovely and pleasant. We see gardens, and wild flowers, olive trees, oaks, birds, ponds, and sheep.
Sadly the car is not magically at the bottom when we get there and we have to walk back up. On the trip back up I see nothing, but A.J.s backside, smokin’ me.  And all A.J. probably notices is his plump wife cussin’ up a truck driver’s storm behind him.  I hate with every bit of my soul the walk back up.  I can hardly wait for the day I laugh at how easy it is and that I ever thought it was hard, but for now I will whine.
6. We come back and watch the dogs wrestle in the yard, while I recover from the lovely walk and A.J. reads Dickens.
7. I come in and do the dishes and make coffee.
8. We shower and the rest of the day is ours…
Here are some of the beautiful things I enjoy on the walk down.

  2. But wait! if you walk slowly back up the hill you will get to see even more! And what what what birds are you seeing?

  3. Natalie:

The flowers are beautiful. What are the white things that look like eggs.

I guess you won't be running up and down the hill anytime soon.
