Seattle Sounders...my first Match

Erika and I headed to our first Major Soccer game this past Saturday.  I must say I am not a sports fan, and I usually go just for the food and people watching.  So I even surprised myself when I caught the soccer bug...we at least for the 2 minutes it took to ask Erika to go and push reply to the message about tickets.

So we headed off on the bus...again not something I do to often, well at least not in Seattle.  Here's us at the bus stop.

The bus started off with just us and two other and ended on 1st and Jackson full of Sounders fans and their scarves.  Were we up to this? Only time and veggie hot dog would tell.  Soon we got caught up in the fun of the crowd and immediately had our sites turned from a veggie hotdog to a yummy torta from Barriga llena! delish like always.  Then this lady caught our eye.  I thought she was the lady on the Miller High Life bottle, sadly she was the lady from Vegas.

Next we head in and found our seats. Immediately we looked like outsiders...why we didn't split the cost of a scarf, I'll never know.  Well we bought some $8 beers and spent the next 90minutes (and some) trying to understand the game and the people around us.  It was a lovely day and it was good to try something new.  I don't see myself being at another match anytime soon.  Perhaps it will take an espresso at an Italian bar to change me in to a sports fan?
