Goodbye Letter to Families

Dear Friends and Families,

I am writing to let you know that I will be leaving Discovery Park Nature Kids Preschool and Nature Daycamp in September. I have had eleven wonderful years at Discovery Park and I will miss it and you tremendously.
In my eleven years I have had the pleasure of :

• Playing, exploring, and learning with over 7000 campers

• Starting many new programs including Nature Birthday Parties, Discovery After Dark, and Nature Kids Preschool

• 725 fun filled days getting dirty with the Nature Kids

• Learning the names of over 60 plants and trees that call Discovery Park their home

• Watching Orcas by the light house

• Removing tons of English Ivy

• Planting nearly 1000 trees

• Exploring nearly every inch of 560 acres

• Working with collegues that are smart, witty, and wonderful

• Being entertained by a vast array of Junior Naturalists

And although I will be physically leaving my home away from home at Discovery Park, it will not be leaving my thoughts. I will think often with fondness and gratitude about all my adventures, friends I have met, and things I have learned.

While I am at Discovery Park and while I’m away, I am committed to saving and growing our Nature Kids and Discovery Park Family. As most of you know I never go quietly and this will not be an exception. Nature Kids is my baby and I will not abandon her, just change locations of where I support her from.
I look forward to sharing my upcoming adventures and hearing yours too!

All my best,
