Cheese Wafers (Cookies, Biscuits, etc.?)

I still can't decide what these should best be called.  They are from A.J.'s family and they call them Cheese Cookies.  The old recipe I found in his Grandmother's recipe box calls them Cheese Wafers.  They are sort of like a savory cookie, like a really thin biscuit, or a thick wafer. What ever you call them, Call 'em delish!

Recipe:
2 c. Shredded Cheddar cheese
2 c. Rice Krispies
2 c. Flour
1/4 t. garlic powder
1/4 t. salt
couple dashes Tabasco
2 sticks Margarine

Mix together. Chill.  Roll in balls about the size of a walnut.  Flatten with fork. Bake at 350 degrees F for about 20 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Here's the ones I made the other day and have nearly eaten the whole batch by today.

  1. These are the best ever. I think they even won a prize once (though this most recent batch is even better than the past prize-winning batch I have to say).

  2. Looks good enough to eat! I'm thinking these might be awesome on the side of a nice, big, green salad??
